Paul The Scholar

The 3rd 'god' and The Missing Link

There is not a single passage in the Scriptures which refers to a person called "God the Holy Spirit ".

If the “holy spirit” is a third member of the Godhead wouldn’t he be worthy of praise as the third co-equal member of the “Triune” Godhead? The answer is simply yes, however, Paul only recognizes Yahweh God as the Father and Yeshua the Messiah his only begotten  Son. NOWHERE does Paul recognizes the “holy spirit” as a third co-equal member of the Godhead, worthy of praise. Not once does Paul come in the name of the “holy spirit.” If the “Holy Spirit” is a third co-equal member of a “trinity” as traditional Christianity  believe, Paul is guilty of Blasphemy against the third member of the Godhead called the “holy spirit.” However, the apostle Paul is not guilty of blasphemy because the holy spirit is simply the spirit of  Yahweh God .

1 Corinthians 1:1-4 Paul, called to be an apostle of Yahshua Messiah through the will of Elohim, and Sosthenes our brother, Unto the assembly of Yahweh which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Messiah Yahshua, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Yahshua Messiah our Master, both theirs and ours: Grace be unto you, and peace, from Yahweh our Father, and from the Master Yahshua Messiah.

2 Corinthians: 1 “Paul, an apostle of Yahshua Messiah by the will of Yahweh, and Timothy our brother, unto the assembly of Yahweh which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:2 Grace be to you and peace from Yahweh our Father, and from the Master Yahshua Messiah.3 Blessed be Yahweh, even the Father of our Master Yahshua Messiah, the Father of mercies, and the El of all comfort;4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of Elohim.

Galatians: Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Yahshua Messiah, and Yahweh the Father, who raised him from the dead;) 2 And all the brethren which are with me, unto the assemblies of Galatia: 3Grace be to you and peace from Yahweh the Father, and from our Master Yahshua Messiah,

Ephesians: Paul, an apostle of Yahshua Messiah by the will of Yahweh, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Messiah Yahshua: 2 Grace be to you, and peace, from Yahweh our Father, and from the Master Yahshua Messiah. 3 Blessed be the El and Father of our Master Yahshua Messiah, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Messiah:

Philippians: “Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Yahshua Messiah, to all the saints in Messiah Yahshua which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons: 1:2 Grace be unto you, and peace, from Yahweh our Father, and from the Master Yahshua Messiah.

Colossians: Paul, an apostle of Yahshua Messiah by the will of Yahweh, and Timotheus our brother, 2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Messiah which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from Yahweh our Father and the Master Yahshua Messiah. 3 We give thanks to Yahweh and the Father of our Master Yahshua Messiah, praying always for you,

1 Thessalonians: Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the assembly of the Thessalonians which is in Yahweh the Father and in the Master Yahshua Messiah: Grace be unto you, and peace, from Yahweh our Father, and the Master Yahshua Messiah.

2 Thessalonians: “Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the Church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Verse 1

1 Timothy: Paul, an apostle of Yahshua Messiah by the commandment of Elohim our Saviour, and Master Yahshua Messiah, which is our hope;: 2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from Yahweh our Father and Yahshua Messiah our Master.

2 Timothy: Paul, an apostle of Yahshua Messiah by the will of Elohim, according to the promise of life which is in Messiah Yahshua, 2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from Yahweh the Father and Messiah Yahshua our Master.

Titus: Paul, a servant of Yahweh, and an apostle of Yahshua Messiah, according to the faith of Yahweh's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after holiness;:2 In hope of eternal life, which Elohim, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of Elohim our Saviour;:4To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from Yahweh the Father and the Master Yahshua Messiah our Saviour.

Philemon: Paul, a prisoner of Yahshua Messiah, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellow labourer, :3 Grace to you, and peace, from Elohim our Father and the Master Yahshua Messiah.

Romans: 1-8 Paul, a servant of Yahshua Messiah, called to be an apostle, separated unto the good news of Elohim,1:2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) 1:3 Concerning his Son Yahshua Messiah our Master, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of Yahweh with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: 5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: 1:6 Among whom are ye also the called of Yahshua Messiah:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of Elohim, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from Yahweh our Father, and the Master Yahshua Messiah. 8 First, I thank my Elohim through Yahshua Messiah for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

John 10:29    My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 10:30 I and my Father are one.

Trinitarians claim there are 3 God in One Substance by reading this verse , but pray tell if it is so,  why is the third God not mentioned at this critical junction . Isn't id odd ?  This is totally taking the verse out of context. The context of John 10:30 shows conclusively that Yeshua was referring to the fact that he had the same purpose as Yahweh God did.   Yeshua was speaking about his ability to keep the “sheep,” the believers, who came to him. He said that no one could take them out of his hand and that no one could take them out of his Father’s hand. Then he said that he and the Father were “one,” i.e., had one purpose, which was to keep and protect the sheep.

When Paul wrote to the Corinthians about his ministry there, he said that he had planted the seed and Apollos had watered it. Then he said, “he who plants and he who waters are one” (1 Cor. 3:8 – KJV). In the Greek texts, the wording of Paul is the same as that in John 10:30, yet no one claims that Paul and Apollos make up “one being.”

John 14:6    Yahshua saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me...where is the role of the supposed third God in this important statement if indeed there is another God or trinity ? Shouldnt it be "No man cometh unto the Father but by me and God the holy spirit ? .   He's left out cold everywhere not because it was deliberately done, but because THERE IS NO THIRD God…

MORE EVIDENCE FROM THE APOSTLE PAUL

For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. (1 Corinthians 8:5-6)

Notice that Paul says for US, there is ONE God the Father and ONE Lord, the Lord Jesus Christ. So why is it then that many others basically say, for THEM, there is one God the Father, Son, and Spirit. And one Lord, the Lord Father, Lord Son, and Lord Spirit. Surely this is a departure from the truth.
In case you think this is just a difficult translation, Paul basically repeats his creed here:
there is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. (Ephesians 4:4-6) and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 1:4)

Where in Paul’s creed is the Trinity? Where in Paul’s creed is Jesus is God. Clearly according to our brother Paul, Jesus is the Lord and the Son. And to show you that Lord is different to God, I present you with the words of Peter:

“Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36)

So Paul and Peter demonstrate that Paul was an avid teacher of Jesus being the son of God, the messiah, and the Lord and that it was God who made Jesus Lord. Nowhere does Paul teach that Jesus is God or part of a Trinity - it was impossible for him to do so because a  fundamental defining mark of the Jew was his monotheism, and Paul was as monotheistic as any monotheist, as is perfectly clear from his letters (Ro.16.27; 1Cor.8.6; 8.4; Ro.3.30; Eph.1.3; 3.14; 4.6; 1Tim.1.17; 2.5, etc). As apostle to the Gentiles, Paul saw his mission to be that of bringing Gentiles into “the commonwealth of Israel” through faith in Christ (Eph. 2.12); they thereby become members of “the Israel of God” (Gal.6.16).

But within a hundred years the church had passed from being under dedicated Jewish leadership to becoming a predominantly Gentile church under Gentile leaders. A quantum shift had taken place. The church was now composed of people from a polytheistic background, without the ardent commitment to monotheism characteristic of the Jews. It soon became apparent that the Gentile church was not particularly averse to adding one or two more persons to the Godhead, while nominally acknowledging the monotheistic character of the faith and the Scriptures (both Old and New) that they had inherited from the Jewish church.
